The UK announced the return of its companies to work and investment in Sudan after the partial lifting of sanctions on Sudan.

The Ambassador of the United Kingdom, Michael Aron, addressing the opening session for the 2nd Mining Forum at the Friendship Hall, stated that the lifting of sanctions could contribute to opening up good opportunities for investment in Sudan and for interacting with international community. He pointed out that the forum is considered a good opportunity for businessmen to develop a good impression on Sudan and enter into partnerships with the mining sector. He also indicated that the British companies will come back to work in Sudan.
